On Tuesday, March 20th The Sundog Theater will present "Ellis Island: Gateway to a Dream" at St. Patrick School. A special friend is invited to attend this morning of fun, but they do not have to. Please note: the special friend who attends must remain with one child for the entirety of the program. The day's schedule is as follows:
7:30am - 7:50am
Students arrive at school and go directly to our first grade classroom. Special friends should go right to the church for mass.
Special friends and first graders return to our first grade classroom for an immigration activity.
All will attend the play in the gym.
First graders say good- bye to their special friends and return to our first grade classroom.
Please know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers during these snow days. The following work is assigned for today, Thursday, March 8th. Please know: if you are without power or experiencing difficulties in this storm, I will work with you to help your child complete these assignments upon returning to school. Do not let the following assignments add stress to your family life when there may be more important things to focus on.

As you aware, St. Patrick School will employ a blended learning plan today due to the weather. Students will be completing workbook pages and some online activities. These lessons will provide reinforcement, remediation, and enrichment of activities that have occurred in the classroom. Students will not be provided new content for these lessons.
If you have any questions about assignments, please contact me. Again, this plan will be employed on any day that school is closed due to a weather or emergency from this point forward. This plan allows for continuation of instruction, but currently does not replace school attendance.

First, navigate to kidsa-z.com.
Then, select your username, followed by your password, and finally the green "GO" arrow.
This will bring you to a screen with a space theme with a spaceship that says "Reading Room," click that.
On the next screen, select the first icon that reads "Leveled Books."
This will take you to a selection of books your child can choose from. Please pick a title that they can read on their own and matches their interests.

Catholic Schools Week 2018 is rapidly approaching and we need YOUR experience! As part of the events for the week, Saint Patrick School would like to host a Career Day on Monday, January 29th. Whether you are a nurse, mechanic, astronaut, custodian or business owner- we need you! We are looking for a variety of people, especially those in STEM fields, interested in spending time talking to our class about their career. Many of students are unaware of the career opportunities available to them, and this day will be a fantastic way to provide them with firsthand knowledge of potential career paths. This is also a great way for you to get involved and make an impact on the students’ future. Thank you in advance for your involvement and helping us show our students how they can #BeTheFuture!
If you are interested in speaking on Career Day, please complete the form that will be coming home in your child's yellow folder.
